China Cultural Centre – Free Screening: A Tale of Three Cities

Sydney’s China Cultural Centre will be hosting a free screening of Mabel Cheung’s A Tale of Three Cities on May 25, 2018.

The movie is a love story between Fang Daolong, a police officer with a complicated background, and Chen Yeurong. The two fell in love in Anhui but were kept apart in Shanghai because of the war. When they are finally meant to be reunited, there is an accident and Fang is left to ponder what happened.

The China Cultural Centre Sydney was the first of its kind to open in the Oceania region and is dedicated to promote awareness of and appreciation for Chinese culture and art through cultural events and activities.

The Centre offers programs that aim to enhance the existing friendship, to encourage dialogue and foster mutual understanding between China and Australia. There are three teaching classrooms in the centre, dedicated to education about traditional calligraphy, painting, music, dance and the Chinese martial art.
