06 Jun Creative products from world famous Palace Museum to feature in Sydney
Sydney’s China Cultural Centre is preparing its halls to host a special exhibition from Beijing’s renowned Palace Museum, as well be host to one lecture and four school workshops, from Friday June 8, 2018.
The China Weeks: Inheritance and Innovation exhibition will feature a carefully curated selection of the cultural and creative products from the Qin Dynasty that are inherited from the Palace Museum, and visitors are able to listen to the story behind these products, and participate in hands-on workshops.
A spokesperson from the centre said the organisers are sure the exhibition will be a success because the exhibition will pay a tribute to tradition and discover new meanings from the inheritance and innovation of Chinese culture.
“I know local people are quite interested in the Palace Museum because it’s a must place to visit in Beijing so the community will have a significant interest in it,” she said.
The China Cultural Centre is dedicated to promoting awareness of and appreciation for Chinese culture and art through cultural events and activities, such as the upcoming exhibition.
“At the China Cultural Centre, we serve both the public and private sectors and we hold events from China to the Australian people to show them how more of the Chinese culture and to introduce the culture to the local community,” the spokesperson said.
She also said people should look forward to the coming months at the China Cultural Centre, with a number of exhibitions and seminars planned to be hosted at the Sydney venue.
“In particular, people from the Shaolin Temple will be coming to hold seminars on the religious spirits and to talk about the temple and the Kung Fu .”
