COVIDSafe Worksite Resources
Resources for commercial construction members who perform works on federally funded projects
Leadership organisations in Victoria’s building, development and construction industry have collaborated on COVIDSafe communication materials tailored to reach the industry’s culturally and linguistically diverse people.
This is an important campaign designed to keep the entire industry informed, engaged, safe and open.
Each week we communicate the COVIDSafe rules and responsibilities in different ways, recognising cultural differences will see some messages resonate with some more than others.
What you need to do:
- Print the posters, put them up in your workplace, in all languages relevant to your workforce.
- Share the social media tile with your community, colleagues, family and friends.

Know your responsibilities
- Don’t go to work if you are feeling sick – get tested & stay at home
- If you get tested, the government may pay you to isolate

- Wear your mask properly – at work and to and from work
- Don’t travel together in a car
- Don’t share tools
- Don’t share lunch and eat only in designated areas
- Use hand sanitiser when you enter the site and after meals
- Check on your workmates: mask, hygiene and health
- Stay 1.5 metres apart from those around you

PROTECT YOUR FAMILIES – WORK AND HOME
COVID-19 doesn’t stay at home, don’t bring it to work.
- Don’t have guests at home, following the rules at home is important to stop the virus spreading.
- If you feel sick, get tested, use your sick leave and stay home. It’s the right thing to do.

- What you do in the community is important. Don’t make bad choices and go to high risk areas involving crowds.

STAY ON TOP OF COVID-19
COVID-19 is like every other work site safety issue – know the rules and follow the rules.
- 2021 COVIDSafe rules are the new normal.
- Check on your workmates, being COVIDSafe is everyone’s responsibility.
- Keep your mask with you at all times.
- Be COVIDSafe all the time, not just at work. Safety doesn’t stop when you leave the site.
- Being COVIDSafe keeps your family safe and you safe at work.
- If you feel sick, stay at home. Get tested, isolate at home. It’s the right thing to do.
- Make sure you follow the rules, and if you don’t know the rules, ask.
