Pasifika Wallabies fans to come together for Argentina test on the Gold Coast!

Pasifika-Australian Wallabies fans will be out in force to support the Qantas Wallabies in their 2018 Rugby Championship Test match against the Argentina Pumas on Saturday September 15, 2018 at CBUS Stadium, Gold Coast.

The Pasifika communities are well represented in the Qantas Wallabies squad including; Tongans Taniela Tupou, Israel Folau, Sekope Kepu and Tatafu Polota-Nau; Samoans Lukhan Tui, Allan Alaalatoa and Matt Toomua; and Maoris Brandon Paenga-Amosa and Curtis Rona; and Fijians Marika Koroibete and Sefe Naivalu.

Lukhan Tui made his debut for the Qantas Wallabies against South Africa in 2017 and is proud of his rugby journey: “My parents were born in Samoa, I was born in South Auckland, grew up in Western Sydney, am a proud Queensland Red and Wallaby. I’m thrilled to represent the Samoan-Australian community and appreciate their support.”

Gold Coast Fijian Community leader Ata Satala said he is thrilled to see the diversity of the multicultural Qantas Wallabies: “The Fijian community have produced some great Wallabies including Ilie Tabua and Lote Tuquiri and we are very proud of our current crop.  We’ll be out at CBUS Stadium cheering for the Wallabies.”

Raelene Castle, CEO of Rugby Australia, said: “The Qantas Wallabies draw their players from the many communities playing across Australia and we look forward to seeing the rugby family come together at CBUS Stadium.”
