Recently elected UIA President Sreeni Pillamarri said: “We want to show that we are together, and with us being together, we are celebrating Indian Independence Day.
“As UIA, our goal is to integrate our community into the wider Australian society through events like the Mateship Fair.”
Babu Varghese, Vice President said: “United Indian Association aims to represent and unite the diverse Indian community associations in NSW through cultural events, sports, recreation, social and voluntary events.
“This will help us to bring people together for the betterment of the association as well as the Indian community in NSW; unity is our strength.”
