Italian immersion without the travel

Aiming to bring the Italian language and culture to Australia and New Zealand, the Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney is working across all sectors as the official body of the Italian government down under.

Otherwise known as the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, the centre organises a number of events to showcase the nation’s rich history and culture. These include language classes run by native speakers, a language library offering books, videos, DVDs, and CDs, as well as offering in-language newspapers and magazines to the Australian public.

The Institute also collaborates with major cultural and university bodies across Sydney including Art Gallery of NSW,  the Australian Chamber Orchestra, the Goethe Institut, and the Dante Alighieri Society.
